PrototypeBD 3D printed this miniature of the National Memorial of Bangladesh, which stands for the country's journey and the sacrifice of its heroes. The post presents it as a tribute piece, made to capture the shape of the memorial in a form that fits on a desk or shelf.
What the model shows
- the memorial's row of triangular planes, each taller and narrower than the last, rising to a single sharp peak;
- the folded profile seen from the side, where the planes fan out like pages;
- a stepped, faceted base with a raised border;
- two sizes of the same design printed side by side.
Printing the planes
The monument is mostly thin walls that meet at a point. Each plane has to stay straight and evenly spaced from its neighbour, and the peak has to finish cleanly instead of breaking up into strings. The plain white finish keeps attention on the geometry, the way a sculptor's study model would.
Painting, LED lighting and custom sizes are available on request.
