This Dreadnought figure was 3D printed and handed over to a customer. The post calls the design very complex, and the photos show why: almost every surface carries panels, rivets, vents, skull emblems and heavy weapon housings.
The model
The figure is a towering armoured walker with two stubby legs, a boxy body and a weapon on each arm. According to the post, the 3D model was made in Autodesk Maya as a high-poly figure and supplied as solid STL files, so it slices cleanly. A later post names the store the model was bought from.
What the photos show
- the grey print from the front, both sides and three-quarter angles, with the fine relief on the armour plates;
- a set of white parts laid out with alternative weapon arms and small accessory pieces;
- a painted version in deep red with silver edging, white emblems and black weapon barrels.
The layer lines of FDM printing are visible on the flat plates, which is typical for a figure of this size printed in filament. Painting and assembly are available on request.
