This desk-sized robotic arm came to us as a client design. We printed every structural part, and the finished arm is shown assembled, with hobby servos driving each joint and a claw gripper at the end.
What was printed
- A low base housing for the electronics and an orange servo mount that bolts onto it
- A black turntable and slotted links, shaped to hold the servo bodies
- A yellow shoulder cone and elbow parts
- An orange gripper set: jaws, small spur gears and the linkage arms that close them
- Flat cover plates with mounting holes
Why the details matter
An arm like this only works when the servo pockets, screw holes and gear teeth come out true to the CAD. Loose pockets let the joints wobble; tight ones crack when the servo is pushed in. Small gears need clean teeth so the gripper closes smoothly. The colour split is practical too: it makes each sub-assembly easy to sort on the bench.
Painting and assembly are available on request. If you have an arm, gripper or robot joint in CAD, upload the STL or 3MF for a price.
