This is the body shell of a classic-style station wagon, printed in resin as a single part for a scale model. The photos show it both standing on its support structure straight after printing and cleaned up on the desk.

What the print shows

  • a front grille made of thin vertical slats, with a chrome-style bumper and over-riders in front of it;
  • round headlight bezels and small indicator housings;
  • door handles, side mirrors and the window pillars of a long-roof wagon;
  • open wheel arches and an open underside, ready for a chassis and wheels.

How it was printed

The body was printed tilted on a dense lattice of resin supports. Tilting spreads each layer over a smaller area, which lowers the pull on the part as it lifts from the vat, and keeps the visible outer surfaces free of support marks. After printing, the supports are removed and the shell is washed and cured.

Painting and assembly are available on request.
