This bangle was printed in resin with a carved relief running around the outside: flowing, leaf-like waves that meet at a small heart. The post presents it as an example of the fine detail and smooth surfaces of PrototypeBD's resin printing service.
What the photos show
- the bangle standing on the build plate on a tree of thin resin supports, tilted so the patterned face carries no support marks;
- the carved waves and heart, cut a few layers deep into a smooth band;
- the cleaned bangle in the hand after the supports were removed.
Why resin suits jewellery-style work
Jewellery depends on crisp edges and a surface you can see up close. Resin printing builds the relief in thin cured layers, so the curves stay sharp and the band needs little sanding. The same process is used to make one-off pieces and test fits before a design is finalised.
