3D Printer Repair and Servicing in Bangladesh
PrototypeBD sells, prints with and maintains 3D printers every day, so we know where they fail. Our workshop in Dhaka repairs FDM and resin 3D printers of every common brand, whether you bought it from us, from another shop in Bangladesh or online from abroad. Tell us the model and the problem, add a few photos, and we reply on WhatsApp with what is likely wrong and what it takes to fix it.
We work on Bambu Lab, Creality, Anycubic, Elegoo, Prusa, Flashforge, Sovol, Artillery and Voron / kit printers. Spare parts such as nozzles, hotends, build plates, belts and PTFE tubes are often in stock, and many problems are fixed with a nozzle change, a clean-up and a careful calibration.
Common 3D Printer Problems We Fix
Clogged nozzle or no extrusion
Burnt filament, a heat-creep jam or a worn nozzle. We clear or replace the nozzle and check the heat break and cooling fan so it does not come back.
Extruder clicking or grinding
Usually a partial clog, wrong temperature, a worn drive gear or too little tension. We service the extruder and calibrate the flow (e-steps / rotation distance).
First layer not sticking
Bed levelling, a damaged or greasy build plate, Z-offset or a failing probe (BLTouch, CR-Touch, strain gauge). We level, replace the plate if needed and tune the first layer.
Hotend or bed not heating
Thermal runaway and heating errors come from loose wiring, a failed heater cartridge or thermistor, or a damaged connector. We test each part and replace only what failed.
Layer shifting and noisy motion
Loose belts, worn bearings or wheels, a slipping pulley or an overheating stepper driver. We tension, lubricate and re-square the frame.
Printer will not start or reboots
Power supply, a blown fuse, a damaged mainboard, screen ribbon or a bad firmware update. We diagnose the electronics and re-flash firmware where it is safe.
AMS / multi-colour feeding problems
Bambu Lab AMS and AMS lite jams, broken PTFE tubes, filament runout sensors and cutter issues on X1, P1 and A1 series printers.
Resin (SLA / MSLA) printer faults
Failed resin prints, a damaged FEP film, LCD screen or UV light source problems, and Z-axis issues on Elegoo, Anycubic and similar resin printers.
How the Repair Works
- Fill in the form above: printer model, when and where you bought it, what is wrong and a few photos or a short description of the error.
- Our technician checks your details and messages you on WhatsApp, often with a fix you can try yourself first.
- If it needs a workshop repair, bring the printer to us in Dhaka or send it by courier from anywhere in Bangladesh.
- We diagnose it, tell you the cost of parts and work before we start, and repair it only after you agree.
- We test-print on the repaired printer and hand it back or ship it to you.
What to Send With Your Request
- The exact model (for example Bambu Lab A1 mini, P1S, X1 Carbon, Creality Ender 3 V3 KE, K1, Anycubic Kobra, Elegoo Saturn).
- A photo of the error message on the screen or in the app, and of the failed print.
- A short video if it makes a noise, clicks or moves wrongly (send it on WhatsApp after we reply).
- What you already tried: a new nozzle, re-levelling, a firmware update or a factory reset.
Servicing and Maintenance
A printer that runs every day needs a service now and then: cleaning and lubricating the rails and rods, checking belt tension, replacing a worn nozzle and PTFE tube, cleaning the build plate and updating the firmware. Do you repair printers that were not bought from PrototypeBD?
Yes. We repair 3D printers from any shop in Bangladesh and printers bought online from abroad.
How much does a 3D printer repair cost?
It depends on the fault and the parts. We look at your photos and description first, and we always tell you the cost of parts and work before any repair starts.
Can I send my printer from outside Dhaka?
Yes. Pack it safely (lock the print head and bed if your model has transport screws) and send it by courier; we return it the same way.
Do you fix resin (SLA) printers too?
Yes, including FEP film, LCD screen, UV light and Z-axis problems on common resin printers.
My printer is still under warranty. What should I do?
If you bought it from PrototypeBD, mention your order number in the form. For printers from another seller, check their warranty first; opening the printer may affect it.
